The Tapas Times
Conception, Design, Content & Copy Writing
Internal communications is as important as your external efforts. I can’t count the number of my campaigns, activations and events that have failed because the team at the coal face don’t have a scooby-doo what’s going on. Why should they? The information never trickled down from the top management tier.
One of the ways we tried to combat this at Brindisa was to create a quarterly magazine called ‘The Tapas Times’. It was an internal publication packed full of content they generated: employee of the quarter, recipes, messages from the Owners and articles on Spanish tradition and culture etc. They were printed and deployed across the teams’ break rooms for people to have a gander and do a crossword while having a coffee. Hospitality workers aren’t the biggest email fans and many have the time to login into that fancy intranet. By giving them a physical publication, it gave employees a way to access company news and absorb brand messaging in an inclusive and familiar format.
